  • TERM DATES 2022-2023 for Littledown Parents.pdf

Homework

All pupils will receive three pieces of homework a week; English, maths and science, which will be sent home on a Friday. This work will reinforce what has been taught in class or will help develop concepts being taught within that subject.

In years 2 and 3, each piece of homework will last approximately twenty minutes.

In years 4 and 5, each piece of homework will last approximately half an hour.

In year 6 each piece of homework will last approximately forty five minutes.

Spellings to be sent home on a weekly basis as part of the English homework.

In addition to written homework, pupils will be expected to read at home at least twice a week for up to 20 minutes each time.

Pupils are allowed to take home reading books. These need to be returned before a new one can be given out.
